: (1) In defense of oneself or any other person or domestic animal, when there is no other alternative against an actual and immediate attack by a wild animal, a weapon may be used or any other means may be taken and in doing so any wild animal may die. If it is lost or injured, it will not be considered as an offense under this Act.
(2) According to sub-section (1), if any wild animal dies or is injured, the matter must be reported to the designated authority within twenty-four hours of the incident, except for the duration of the journey.
(3) In the case of a person who is working contrary to this Act or the rules made under this Act, the facility as per sub-section (1) will not be available.
